the dry sauna is good for relaxing and stretching your muscles
you can lose weight by sweating in there but it takes a lot of sweat
the wet sauna is good for your skin
both are very relaxing

To help you sweat out toxins in your body, and just to feel good and relaxed. If you sweat for long enough, you will lose weight, though.
they open up your pores.. that helps you sweat more efficiently.. plugged up pores keep the sweat inside..
supposedly the wet humid air is good for ur skin n breathing it is good for ur lungs too its relaxing in there also
I just use mine to relax in, its really great after my late night run, before hitting the shower.
There are two purposes of sweat.to cool your body and to excrete toxins. A sauna will help to remove more toxins from your body and you will temporarily lose water weight. The weight will return once your body gets back in a normal environment and is hydrated again. Also the heat can help muscle tension, sinus problems, and a bunch of other things. Saunas have been around for thousands of years, and they will probably be around for a few thousand more.
