What is best way to do situps?

Question:
what is best safe way to do situps? I am 77 year old male

Answers:
Bob, what you need to watch out for is strain on your neck. This is most likely when you try to attempt a traditional situp with your hands locked behind the head or neck.

Instead, try doing your situp with your hands on your forehead. This reduces the likelihood of neck strain and also makes your abs work harder. When you place your hands behind your neck, you actually use your arms to help "pull" you up, which reduces the emphasis on your abdominals.

I've included a link to video below that shows you. There are also links to some other ab exercises you can try.

Best of luck!
