I'm 5'5 and medium boned, what would be a good weight for me?
Question:
Answers:
Okay think of it this way:
at 5'0 u should be 100 lbs
every inch above 5 feet you can add 5-12 lbs and still be an OK way
so really simply: 5'5-5'0='5 so...
5 times five is 25
5 times twelve is 60
so somewhere between 125 - 160 is a good weight for you. Keep dieting and excercising healthily (if that's a word) go running or jogging once a day (either in the morning or after work) and
drink 64 oz of water EVERYDAY!! (outrageous, I know) and at this point I force it down my own throat. try a bottle (16oz) before work/school, a bottle at lunch, something middday at 3 or whenever work lets out. and something with dinner. (soda, wine, beer, or w/e doesn't count!!)
I got a little off track but drinking this water helps degestion a lot and that might help you lose weight. what works for me might not work for you.
if you feel skinny at 145 it might be because you don't know anything else. try getting to a healthy 130-140 and I think u'll be on the right track
make sure whatever excersize you choose you drink plenty of water and eat right!
-good luck,

forget about the BMI. focus on reducing your body fat to below average levels. the BMI is not an indicator of health its only purpose is to address the risk factors that are associated with central obesity.
I don't think "weight" is the issue here. I never go by the BMI charts because according to it I should weigh 110 lbs (but then I think I would look anorexic). I am 5'1" and 140lbs and feel just barely chubby (most of the time, but I think I am at a healthy muscle/fat ratio). I am also medium boned, without large hips (40) or bust (36).
If your muscles are more toned than another girl with the same height and weight as you, you would actually look (and possibly be) smaller than her. Muscle weighs more than fat, so you can actually wiegh more but be more physically fit.
Just don't try and fit into society's role model girl (especially on the BMI charts, they never take everything into account on those). If you feel that you need to lose weight/gain muscle, then go ahead, but don't try and loose much. You seem like you are a pretty good size for your height.
it depends on how old you are
I think you shouls stick to whatever makes you happy. As long as your healthy. Don't get caught up with this hype to be thin. Your weight now seems perfect to me. 140-145 is good. Be happy and content with yourself.
I used to have serious over weight problem for years and I was the kind of people quite easily get sick & tired. Thank god, once I met a new friend in a family gathering and he told me a very good site that I later found so helpful. The site taught me great workouts and diet tips and showed me what I had been doing wrong to address my over weight problem... Here is the good thing and you might wanna to check out more. Good luck!
