Dieting help! if you eat too much one day but not enough the next will it balance out?

say one day i had a big 600 kcal dinner which i regreeted , if i cut 600 kcal of tomorrows food, would it end up the same as if i had just eaten it the next day?

Answers:
I tend to work on the basis of earning my food. In order to over eat on any one day, I have to over exercise first. A long jog or a long bike ride will burn off about 400-500 calories if you are fairly brisk.

This theory works in reverse as well. If you have not earned the right to over eat, you should burn off what you have eaten in excess with extra exercise after the fact.

It is harder to be consistent with this if you are always catching up with your over-eating rather than earning it first.

600 calories is not a big meal for me.

yea but i personally recommend that you mantain consistency in eating almost the same amount of cals each day. That really helps :)
Eating above your caloric limit is forgivable every once in a while but it's best to stay below your calorie limit as much as you can.
Yes but your better off eating everyday because body won't get the nutrients from the food ur suppose to eat today and that will make you tire slow and sluggish maybe even not a very good
no your body doesnt work that way. when you cut drastic amounts of calories your body goes into starvation mode and holds everything as fat. so i would just eat normal the next day because its not going to even out.

It won't really balance out so to speak. If you eat a big dinner and then rest your body will process the calories a certain way. The next day if you have less then you're body will process a certain way. However - if you don't eat enough you're body can go into a metabolic mode (slower) that will conserve the energy it has and then when you do eat more it can be stored as fat instead of burnt.

It's best to eat steadily and balanced to keep your body even, but one day of overdoing it shouldn't derail you at all.
Not necessarily. If you do that often, your body will notice the cycle and start preparing for it, but storing the extra carbs and fats for the 'leaner' days to help you survive.

The thing is to stick to a fairly regular / balanced meal cycle. And add exercise. Even walking will do wonders!
with me .. if i dont eat for a few days then if i eat i dont gain it back straight away , but i will eventually gain it until i am at my origional weight and then i dont put on anymore
so i tend not to eat much lol
but i dont think it works exactly like that with people with normal metabolisms
if you eat an extra 3000 kcals a week you will put on one pound
so if you even that out . you should be okay
