Is it bad to eat to much peanut butter!?
Question:
Answers:
the fat that comes from the peanut butter is good fat which is about 80% of it. The other 20% is bad fat which comes from the oil used to stabilize the PB.
its not bad 4 u- but high ca;lories... i luv penut butter 2. lol
Too much of ANYTHING isn't healthy for you. Peanut butter can be good in moderation, due to all of the healthy fats in it, but watch your saturated fat and calorie intake.
Good protient but high in calories and fat. Moderation is the key in everything.
too much of anything is bad, but the fat in peanut butter is a good fat. but that doesnt mean its okay to eat tons, eat in moderation. :]
Yea dont forget the iron in it and protien it can be good if you eat it but dont eat the whole can in one day lol
Natural Peanutbutter is better for you than the typical kind people purchase. It's usually a dollar or less more, but contains only peanuts and salt. No hydrated oils or high fructose corn syrup, etc, which make PB not as healthy. [:
Like others said, too much of anything is bad -- but natural peanut butter is pretty good for you! Try natural almond better, as well -- it's really good for you! (but expensive.)
same as lola. it has lots and lots of fat. but it`s healthy it has omega 3 fatty acids
I eat loads of the stuff, but get the natural kind that you have to stir and refridgerate. There are more chemicals than peanuts in peter-pan, JIF, and other concoctions that call themselves peanut butter.
Peanut butter is quite healthy for you. It contains high levels of monounsaturated fats and a compound called resveratrol which both protect against heart disease. It contains vitamins B3 and E, as well as good levels of fiber, zinc, and magnesium. Also, it's also a good source of protein if you're a vegetarian.
The first major health concern (which probably doesn't affect you) is peanut allergies which can be deadly. If you don't have peanut allergies, this isn't a concern.
Another concern is that there can be trace amounts of a carcinogenic toxin called aflatoxin in peanuts which is made by a mold that infects peanut plants. However, this is closely monitored in most countries (including the U.S.) and you can safely consume peanuts and peanut products. Organic and fresh-ground peanut butters actually have 10 times as much aflatoxin than the more common processed name-brand peanut butters. If you do eat a lot of peanut butter and peanuts, I would recommend sticking with a major brand.
The final problem with eating too much of it would be weight gain. The standard serving size of peanut butter (2 tablespoons) averages 190 calories. While the fats in peanut butter are healthy fats, it's still easy to eat too much fat if you consume too much peanut butter.
Peanut butter is certainly a nutritious and mostly healthy treat, but as with most foods, moderation is key to avoid health problems. I hope that helps! Keep enjoying your peanut butter.
