Question:
hi! im 16 and i havent been on a scale in.. i dont know how long, today i finally went on & i got a reality shock. i'm 5'7 and weight 164 pounds. my stomach & abs are in generally good shape. most of my weight is around my butt & thighs, any kind of exercises or anything to help me lose weight, or maybe just look skinnier?

Answers:
While you sound perfectly healthy, if you want to lose a little weight my recommendations are simple. Eat lots and vegetables and limit your consumption of red meat (fish is a better alternative), drink lots of water, and take up an endurance sport (running/biking/swimming/etc.)... Your commitment to the sport doesn't have to be terribly serious, running a few miles a day will work wonders. Endurance sports build lean muscle mass, which makes you look and feel great.
you could run stairs. that focuses only on the thy, and calf.
I would focus more on losing inches rather than losing weight. You might gain muscle, which means you become a few pounds heavier but you lose a few inches.
TO lose inches in the butt and thighs area I highly suggest jogging. You might also try dance lessons. If you want the gym I suggest using the weight machine for your legs.
To successfully lose weight, you must carry out
a plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise.
Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionally
balanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity.
