How many laps around a track equal a mile?

Question:
how many laps would you have to run around a track to equal a mile, and how many calories would you burn if you ran that number of laps around a track, lets say with a steady jog?

Answers:
Four laps.
i think about 4 laps and for a teady jog maybe about 150 calories.
4
4
4 laps..about 150 to 200 depending on your weight already..and muscle mass you have.
4 laps to a mile.

A cardiologist I know spots 1 mile as 100 calories, regardless of speed. Rate of burn is different if done faster or slower.
