How is my daily food intake?


Question:
I'm trying to limit the number of calories I have daily (preferably below 2000). Here's my daily intake.

Breakfast: 1 cup of coffee, bowl of cereal, 8 fl oz Gatorade or Powerade and occasionally 1/2 slice of bread (Great Harvest bread)
Lunch: 2/3 cup of Glutinous rice (puffy) with some low-fat low-oil vegetable gravy (Im Asian) and small amount of sauteed mixed vegetables (little oil). Sometimes salad with no store bought dressing.
Evening (around 3 or 4): 2/3 cup of coffee
Dinner: repeat Lunch
How many calories is this total.

It's not many, but my concern is that you have virtually no protein in your diet and only carbs + fat. Carbs + fat is the BEST recipe for FAT GAIN. Also, if you do not eat enough or often enough, your metabolism will slow down, causing increased fat gain as soon as your calorie consumption returns to normal, if not sooner. Your body is smarter than you so don't try to trick it.

My recommendation looks more like this:
Breakfast: 1 cup coffee, 1/2 cup of instant Quaker Oats (the plain kind in the big tub), some fresh or frozen fruit mixed in with that, 2 eggs, 8-16 oz of water or green tea
Snack: 1/2 cup cottage cheese or 2 hard boiled eggs, green tea or water
Lunch: 150 g of lean meat (about size of a deck of cards), 2 cups mixed vegetables in an olive oil based dressing, green tea or water
Snack: 1/2 cup cottage cheese or 2 hard boiled eggs, green tea or water
Dinner: Same as lunch
Prebed snack: 1 cup cottage cheese, 1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter, a handful of veggies, water
def. need more protein.how about milk instead of coffee?
are you a vegetarian? if so about soy, tofu, lentils, chick pea, kidney beans
