Do you prefer jogging inside in a treadmill OR outside in the neighborhood?

Question:
Are there any particular differences or advantages?

Answers:
me, well I prefer a tall cold one with a bag of potato chips.
treadmill i can run further
Definitely outside. For one reason or another, I am less likely to to get bored running outside. Both methods have pros and cons however. For instance, a treadmill allows you to work out during all types of weather. Additionally, you have control over the pace and incline - so your workout is more controlled. On the flip side, running outside provides you with more scenery and fresh air. Plus, with all the new types of heart rate monitors and GPS systems for runners - you basically have the same control that you do with a treadmill.
I enjoy both. Outside on concrete is damaging to your knees overtime, but you can always run on a track/grass. I find that I run longer when on a treadmill, because I can set a timer and there aren't as many distractions.

On humid days, I prefer a treadmill because I'll be in air conditioning. lol
Outside, because its a lot harder then running on a treadmill at the same speed. I think that running outside really helps a lot more than running on the treadmill, but thats just my opinion :)
I prefer being ouside because you get to see people & nature and once you walk somewhere - you have to walk back -you just can't stop like you can on a treadmill.

I've never jogged in a treadmill but I jogged on one. lol - jk - I like using my treadmill inside in the winter, if it's raining ect. And ususally if I do, I usually throw a DVD on so I end up staying on longer.
Inside Treadmill.
No traffic.
You keep your pace.
No issues with potholes or weather.
You get readouts on distance and time.
You can multi-task.. like watch TV while running.
As the decks are cushioned, less impact on knees.
Shoes stay clean!
i like running outside because i usually run further, and its fun to wear a cute outfit and show it off that way. its a good motivation..

hey whatever gets your ars out of the house right!?
I like to run outside because you get a change of view an fresh air. I feel like when I run on a treadmill, I'm not really running.
Definitely outside. Running on a treadmill is for pansies who can't hang with the big dogs. A treadmill doesn't allow you to stretch your legs to a full stride. You're putting too much energy in concentrating on the pace of the treadmill. If you're working on speed intervals you always have to keep in the back of your mind the timing of the treadmill. It's running for crying out loud, all you need is a pair of shoes and a road. As for the weather, that's half the fun of it.
inside with headphones listening to something. inside makes you sweat more, ad the more sweat, the more weight you lose.
Treadmills get spooky at high speeds and sound a bit obnoxious so i'd rather run out side or even indoor track, i love my garmin forerunner GPS it can set a pace for me or i can run against a virtual partner and about a hundred other things. Call me weird but i'd rather run past week old roadkill on a hot day than run in one spot and watch TV.
I like treadmill, never let them see you sweat.
Listen to music and watch a movie. No one to harass you. Know exactly the calories, distance and heart rate. I can stay on longer on a treadmill outside I would want to stop once in a while. Also treadmill gives you varity as it changes pace automatically.
