What are good proteins to consume?

I've been told that I have too much carbs and too little protein in my diet. What types of proteins can I consume while keeping my diet to under X number of calories?

egg whites are a good source of protein along with lite string cheese, fat free cottage cheese, an ounce of nuts, lean meats like grilled chicken, fish, soy nuts, soy protein chips

Its hard to believe that you are not getting enough protein, as protein is abundant in a wide variety of foods. Most people consume an excess amount of protein without even trying. But, to answer your question, eggs and low-fat dairy products are an excellent source of protein. So is Salmon, and tuna as well as many other types of fish. Beef and chicken also contain protein, but are higher in fat.

beans, seeds, nuts, peanut butter
chicken, tuna, eggs, go to walmart and buy a big tub of whey for$12 $13 bucks, steak$$, burgers. Cheapest way is eggs for breakfast, protein powder supplement 1 or 2x/day
