How to make muscle pain go away??

Question:
i have sports tryouts soon, and i KNOW i'm going to be sore. my dad says just go to the next day's tryouts even if your muscles are sore and it'll go away wih the exercise, is that true?? if not, how can you ease the pain a bit?? thanks!

Answers:
Your muscles produce an acid that causes the soreness. The only way to avoid it or lessen it, is use those muscles and get the acid worked out before the try-outs. Drink plenty of water and be sure to stretch, specially after your try-outs. Of course, massage, soaking in tub, pain reliever, ice packs, etc. will help reduce the pain. No pain no gain! Gett'r done.
try to take hot baths it can relax the muscles of ur body, also puttin a heating pad or ice pad whenever its hurting. a good massage w.ice hot can help as well.
Vitamin A, C and E will help cut the pain the next day. Aspirin too
that is true.. if you keep working the muscles that are sore then it will get over the soreness faster... here is a website that should help.
I would use an anti-inflammatory (NSAID) like Naproxen (Aleve) or Ibuprofen (Motrin), that will help with the pain and should get you through the next day. I'm a pediatric nurse.
Soreness is a biproduct of how your muscles repair themselves. Rest is the only sure way to rid your body of the discomfort. Drink excess water and try some ibuprofen. If you're still sore coming into the day of your tryouts, try doing a little light workout prior to the tryout. This should infuse the muscles with blood and usually stretch them enough to be able to perform.
what your dad said is true by excersices your pain will go away and also take hot baths
Hmmm... is it the first time you do try-outs or is the try-out a little hard for you?

Sore muscles may be because you over-do yourself or you have not been very active lately. If you haven't been active except for the try-outs, one day rest and active again the next day would be fine. Once you get used to the lifestyle, your muscles will get used to it too.

It's sore, not pain, right?. In future, do proper stretching before and after an exercise/active activity. It helps warm the muscles and stretching after it will help restore faster.

I'm no expert but I hope my suggestion helps.
After each workout, I drink whey protein, which is filled with the essential things such as amino acid to help rid your muscles of toxins that create soreness in your body.

If you're not use to doing something and you do it will full force then of course you'll be sore. Its always good to give your muscles a day or two to recover before continuing, but yes the more you work your muscles even if its sore the more it will get use to your routine and eventually go away. Your muscles are just stretching.

If you are working out or doing sports, its essential to almost drown yourself in fluids (not literally), but drink as much water as possible even when you're not thirsty so you can hydrate and flush out toxins.
