What is considered bulimic?

Question:
Where is the line that separates just throwing up, and being bulimic? Does it mean barfing up every meal every day, or one meal a month, just what does it mean to be bulimic?

Answers:
Bulimia is a psychological disorder characterized by an obsessive need to control one's weight and a distorted body image. It doesn't really have anything to do with how often a person binges and purges, but many bulimics will either purge every meal or save it for later sessions of stuffing themselves and then throwing up. If you think you may have an eating disorder, you should speak to your doctor immediately. You should also check out this source: http://www.eating-disorders.com...
belimic is simply somone who intentionally throws up their food after eating it because they are somone who is self conscious about their weight
If you are making yourself vomit up ANYTHING on purpose to get rid of the fat/calories or to not gain any weight, you've got yourself an eating disorder. Go see a doc right away!
purposely sticking you fingers or toothbrush down your throat is bulimic. "just throwing up" is when you are sick and can't help it..it jsut comes up..
If you eat your food and then purposely throw it up to avoid weight gain, then your bulimic. If you do it once a month, it would not be as severe a case but you would still have an eating disorder.
Hmm, I would say that if someone intentionally throws up, whether it's once a month or once a meal, they're bulimic. Throwing up unintentionally, that's just illness.

Why would somebody eat, and then throw it up? Sounds like a damn waste of money, to me.
