It is not a joke! You just have to go, remain committed and work out hard, just like any other type of exercise. It encompasses all three requirements for fitness - cardio, strangth training and flexibility - it's jogging, weights and stretching all in one!
Things to remember - true fitness does not come quickly - allow yourself 3 months at least to see some quality results.
ignore the games, gossip etc.The tools are provided (the circuit) for you to do a complete body workout.
Many women go and expect to be entertained or have the exercise almost done for them, that's why they get disappointed. Don't get swept up in the games, t-shirts, contests, etc., unless you like that kind of stuff.
Just get in there, work your hardest, move as fast as you can on each and every station and YOU WILL see the results you want.
Also, combine this with a healthy diet, which they can help you with as well. Curves is real and really good for the committed person. Good luck!
WELL I GOT MEMEBERSHIP THERE AND WENT 3 TIMES AND THEN NEVER WENT BACK..I FOUND IT TO BE QUITE BORING...IT'S HARD FOR ME TO FOCUS SITTING IN A CIRCLE FULL OF GOSSIPING WOMEN...I WOULD MUCH RATHER PUT ON MY I-POD AND JOG,IT'S MUCH MORE RELAXING AND ATLEAST YOU WORK UP A SWEAT,WHICH IS SOMETHING I DIDN'T DO AT CURVES..
I think it works if you go. I had a membership but didn't go very often, and that seems to happen to a lot of people. I suppose it's like any other form of exercise; if you do it, it works; if not, it doesn't. You need to find something that you're going to enjoy or will be motivated to do for it to work.
