Will going on a liquid diet help me lose weight effectively?

Question:
For example, water, vegetable soup with beef, chicken soup, smoothies, milkshakes, coffee, etc. Basically, all non-solid foods. The calorie intake will be ranging from 800-1,200 calories and I will try to incorporate all fruits and vegetables and meats and grains into the diet, in a liquified way or some sort. Do you think it will work?

Answers:
Yes, you will lose weight, but when you get off the liquid diet, you will gain it back plus add more pounds. Stick to a balanced diet and increase exercise. Good Luck.
Sure. Right up until you go back to solid foods.
Yes, it works great.
I don't know if you will lose weight, but at least you won't be constipated.
I guess it could work if you can mix and drink all but you need to balance correctly your carbs, fat and proteins. 800 is too low but you can make it with 1200
The number you see on a scale means absolutely nothing. Weight isn't a bad thing unless you can see mounds of it on your body. Muscle weight more than fat, period. Work on losing body fat as opposed to losing body tissue. Tone you're body to have a slimmer look and be stronger. And if some skinny twig calls you fat, kick their *** with those toned muscles.
