Dont over do it, start off slow and build up your speed and length with time. Stretch before and after also.
First, warm up and stretch those muscles. Don't wear ipods! when you're running on side streets, make sure you're opposite the flow of traffic. Bring your watch.
Try to run in a pretty public spot for starters. Also do plenty of leg and calf stretches so you reduce the risk of shin splints. And drink water before and after, but not too much before or else youll cramp up.
im 14ys old and i run alot, just make sure if your in a hot area then wear sunscreen b/c you will get weird tan lines, and bring water w/ you, bring a cell phone if your going outside alone, just in case b/c there are really weird crazy ppl out there, lol, and just bring an ipod or somethign to have some entertainment. drink lots of water too or else you will feel lie your going to pass out and get really light headed.
Well I hope you have a running partner or a dog to run with. I love to run, and even with a partner was attacked once. There are some horrible people out there so be careful, be aware of your surroundings, make sure to run with the traffic facing you so no one can sneak up on you, that is what happened to me. I ran in the same direction and some a**holes decided that it would be fun to drive by and grab my a** the jerks succeeded, and almost pulled me into busy traffic. Make sure to stay hydrated, and strech very little proir to your run, your muscles need to be tight so you don't hyperextend anything. Your supposed to do the majority of your streching after the run. Start slow and don't over do it. Good luck!
Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%.

Chew each morsel at least 32 times. Do not touch articles of food or the cutlery in between. This will activate ur body to generate strong signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

Take light exercises and brisk walks (minimum 20 min duration) regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry. It is however to be noted that one cannot change the shape or size of different parts of the body.
