To a very high degree, you should weigh as much as you feel happy with weighing.
As far as a "healthy weight", that's what most of the other posts are about (calculating your BMI, diet plans, etc). but most people will say what the "average" is according to different opinions. There's also a big difference depending on your muscle mass and percent of fat on your body.
As long as you are at a weight where you are healthy, the most important part is that you are HAPPY with your weight... not that you "should be X pounds", but that no matter what you weigh, you are happy with that instead of striving to be a size 2 or something like that
That being said, if you want to lose weight, exercise is a really good (and safe) way to lose weight. In addition to that, I would recommend meeting with a nutritionist or dietitian to see if there is something else that may benefit you more

At 6 ft you could go lean, and look into wide out positions, I would probably shoot for around 180, with lean muscle mass. that means light weights lots of reps.
If you want to be a running back shoot for around 200, you will want as much mass as you can support. If you are not naturally fast, I would go higher and look for bulk to be a power hitter and signifigant blocker. This would also be a great size for a LB
If you are naturally slow, I would shoot for around 250 of pure bulky muscle as a lineman if you have speed be a pulling guard. Then an outside LB postion or tackle on D.
If you cant run a mile without passing out, shoot for 320, as a tackle or on D a nose guard.
If you weight less than 160 you better be damn fast and agile.
Your BMI would suggest a weight range of 130- 160 lbs. However, considering that you play football, you should be on the upper end of the range, from about 150 -170 lbs to support all the additional muscle required whilst playing a sport.
