Answers:
Definitely give yourself a rest day between work outs. Do two today (Tuesday) and ride your bike for 1/2 hour (you need to build up your cardio endurance, too).
Wed. Eat good protein and get enough sleep. give your muscles time to rebuild themselves.
Thurs. Do four pushups first thing in the morning. Then (or later that day) do another 1/2 hour of cardio.
Friday Rest
Sunday Do six pushups if you can and some kind of cardio.
Monday Rest.
Tuesday Do eight if you can and some kind of cardio.
Keep going that way.
You could also do two and then rest and then try to do another two about ten minutes later. It is good to do repetitions like that. (Try for three sets of two pushups each.)
You are essentially building your muscles up by making microscopic tears in them when you ask them to do more than they are used to through the push-up. As a result, your muscles need protein and time to rest in order to build themselves back up and repair the small tears (which results in a stronger muscle).
Set up a training plan for yourself which will include exercise and rest.
Consistency is what it is all about as far as getting toned and stronger. :)
simple. do it everyday. do two sets of as many as you can in the morning. and do it again before you go to sleep. you can do more if u want. just make sure u do a good amount everyday. that is the fastest way to get better
try doing 4-5 sets of twos.
for ex. do two pushups and mixn it up by dong some crunches, then go back and do two pushups again ( do the whole thing at least 5 x's) thats 10 pushups per day
then daily see how many you can do without stopping and that will be ur next goal. so if you find out you can do 10 straight, do 5 sets of 10 and keep increasing until you are where u want to be
Build up muscle tolerance for it. Between this week and next week, you need to do as many as you can everyday. Maybe you can try doing different sets and different times during the day. For example, you could aim for 5 in the morning, 5 at noon and 5 in the evening. Keep that up for about a week (give or take) and you should see a major increase in your ability to do push-ups. Remember: KEEP AT IT!
Try this technique. If you are watching tv, every commercial break do 2 pushups. Continue that throughout all your time watching tv. By the end of the day, you probably would have done way more than 20 pushups.
If you don't watch much tv, do it another way. Like, everytime you walk through a doorway, drop down and do 2 pushups.
All those pushups will add up over time, helping you reach your goal of 20 pushups in a row.
Work on doing them, keep your body in a straight line and keep your head up as you lower your body until your upper arms are parallel straight across. Just keep doing them every couple of hours, you will work them up to you get to 20.
what u need to do is bench press four sets incline press four sets do 4 sets of push ups as many as u can and combine some other like chest workouts and ull be fine but u should do that area twice a week since it is a week are
