Is it true that if you drink a glass of milk every day for a year, you will grow 2-3 inch?

Question:
i'm 16 male...and my doctor said that

Answers:
Well not really, your height is predetermined by your genetics the only thing that you can do is not limit that through poor nutrition. Milk is still very important for when your growing though you need to build up calcium to create strong bones because I forget at like 30 or something that process stops.
No. Not at all. I'm surprised a doctor said something like that. But he's probably betting that you WILL grow in the next year. But nothing you do or take is going to do it---it will be completely natural. Your height comes from your genes---and you can't do anything to change it. Whatever height you are meant to be---you will have to be patient. Guys are done growing when they're 21-22. (Girls, when they're 19-20) There are no supplements, vitamins, herbs, drugs, foods, drinks, exercises, stretches, sports.nothing is going to make you grow.
Look at your mother's side of your family. How tall is her father? How tall are her brothers (if she has brothers)? That will give you a very good idea how tall you will end up as an adult.
I wish that was true. What kind of doctor told you that?
sorry man no idea
No, its genetics.
