Do you think it is easier to create a meal plan for days of the week or to just count calories??

Because when I'm counting calories i seem to always go overboard and like chose unhealthy foods sometimes, but maybe if i mapped out what im going to eat certain days of the week then it will be more effective in losing weight??

Definitely creating a meal plan is best.

If you plan out your meals you can go shopping at the beginning of the week and make sure you have everything you need for that week.

Also, you can sometimes pre-prepare your foods. If you are cooking one night and can do up some thing for the next day you will be ahead of the game.

The risk of snacking or going out for fast food is so much less when you prepare ahead.

Make a meal plan and stick to it, it's the easiest to keep track of what you eat. Write the calories behind the items you eat and than you know if you can have a snack on top of your meal choices.
I find its easier to map out meal plans because then you are prepared. When I don't plan my meals, I tend to eat whatever is more easily accessible. It also helps get you into a healthy living style of eating well.
Honestly, its easier for me to count calories because i can portion out what I should be eating. Sometimes you just dont realize how many calories can be in something unless you look. Perfect example, my boyfriend went to Mcdonalds the other day and bought 3 chicken select strips and one of those cinnamelts. He said it still left him hungry afterwards... Just for fun I went on the website to look at how many calories were in what he ate..900!! I couldnt believe it. So, I definitly watch my calories before I eat them. Hope this helps!
