How many steps should I walk a day?

You should walk a number of steps a day, and I'm told that walking is actually better for you than running/jogging. What's is the amount that we should be walking?

Forget counting steps. Count it in minutes.

Walk 30 minutes a day. Make sure its a brisk walk that challenges your heart and lungs. A sign is usually where you can push yourself but at the same time, still hold a conversation.

And yes, walking is better because it is less strenuous on your knees.
