Is this too much for a twelve year old to eat in a day?


Question:
Today I ate:
Breakfast:
3 pancakes, a scoop of eggs, some grapes
Lunch:
Tuna and Lettuce Sandwich
Snack:
PB and 10 crackers
Dinner:
1/2 grilled chicken breast, 2 scoops Pasta
Snacks:
1 pack Junior Mints
1 small pack of M&Ms
a couple of grapes

Answers:
no...it seems you know proper nutrition and are able to fit in some unhealthy snacks...so as long as you don't overdo it with the candy, you're right on track with your diet...just be careful that you get enough exercise (any kind will do) and you should do fine...of course, it depends on your metabolism and how well it's working, but at 12, it should be working great...good job!

what happen to just some special k in the morning some fruit for lunch and maybe a nice dinner salad with baked chicken breast?
i know breakfast is an important meal, but you're eating too much. 1 pancake and eggs is enough. and a glass of milk.
and too many snacks like crackers ad M&Ms. the grapes are fine though.
heck no! i have eaten way more and im ur age(almost 13) and i way 103 lbs and the doctor says im very healthy
Nope, don't fret about it. You are eating the right amount of food for a 12 year old. Just remeber that if you are full, don't eat anything else until you feel hungry again. =)
OK well you're still growing, so you can eat a lot more. But it's the type of food you're eating (M&Ms, pancakes) that are bad. You should eat healthy snacks like veggies and dip. Make sure all your bread is whole wheat bread, and eat lots of fruit.

not a nutritionist so im not sure if its too much for a 12 year old, im guessing your daily physcal activites are important in deciding this as well. but if it is too much, at least you're eating healthy. hope you get in sufficient exercise.

Well.I agree with most of the answers maybe minus two pancakes, the PB, and instead of two types of candies, one.

But don't worry it's not like you have a huge appetite or your unhelathy or anything. You're growing, so it's very understandable. I've had days like that when I ate that many calories and then some! lol.

Make sure you get an hour of physyical activity a day! Thats the key to satying healthy and fit.
