Eating Disorder?
Question:
100 calorie vegan boca burger patty
100/110 calorie energy / pria bar
2 slices of wheat bread and light strawberry cream cheese (120/130 calories)
1 chocolate womnens multi-vitamin
1 fiber pill
and of course fruits and the occasional veggies
When I orignally started this because I was annoyed at my family's constant intake of meat and junk food, I was about 115, and I only lost 5 lbs (I'm 5'2... so the weight is normal) but now that I'm bored of these foods, i'm afraid to change it up because I've only consumed less than 500 calories a day which is way less than the daily recomendations.
So my question is, if I all of a sudden eat 1,500 calories, will there be a drastic gain in my weight?
Answers:
Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%.
Chew each morsel at least 32 times. Do not touch articles of food or the cutlery in between. This will activate ur body to generate strong signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks (minimum 20 min duration) regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry. It is however to be noted that one cannot change the shape or size of different parts of the body.
U will not gain beyond reasonable limits if u follow the above routine.
I have a friend who does body sculpting, who when nearing competitions, has 1200 calories a day. I would wonder about whether you are correct with the calorie intake because she barely gets by on 1200?
You need to increase it. Eat healthy foods. Eat small quantities frequently. Include plenty of grilled chicken (stick in oven on rack, on tin foil, use no oil, cook till white through) for lunches or dinners.
Even if you continue to undereat, you will eventually gain weight because you will have slowed down your metabolism. This is disordered eating. I have dealt with an eating disorder and trust me, the sooner you stop the disordered behavior the better. Who cares if you gain some weight for a little while? You will still be alive. You might want to get a good therapist who specializes in eating disorders to guide you through this.
