What can i do to resist dessert?

Question:
I absolutely ADORE having my chips at night, but I am trying to diet and can't resist it! What can I do to resist the temptation and have NOTHING at all? Also, what exercises can I do to lose weight in my legs? (Please be specific and I need something other then running)

Answers:
Throw it away. DO NOT keep it in your house. Out of sight, out of mind. And, of course, don't buy it the next day!
It is so difficult to lose weight and so easy to put it on. Think about that, matey.
Don't have chips in the house if you can't resist them! Wearing heels and taking the stairs gives you nice legs.
Eat fruits instead... Or some low calorie yogurt...
drink lots f water during ur dinner, it'lll fool ur stomach n make u think ur full.
or have special k as desert, but not a lot!
goo luck!
I switched to fruit and yogurt. At first it sucked. Now I love it.
Think about how good you'll look if you don't eat the chips. etc.
Love yourself more than you love the chips---think this way--you chew them swallow them and crap them out---you can resist that.
Lift weights--you can eat more!
dont resist it.eat something different.like fruit, veggies, and think they have a loe cal chips now in bags so you know how much to eat.reg exercises .walking, jogging is about the only way to help those legs out.however they will prb get slimmer
as you lose the pounds.
First of all don't buy the junk food. Try eating an ounce of raw nuts.
As far as leg exercise do leg lifts or try standing with one leg at a 45 deg. angle and bend your knee without straining or bouncing the switch to the other one. You can also walk in place. Find a good show on tv with exercises.
The chips are not doing you a bit of good. they are empty calories. try munching on celery or carrot sticks with a few slices of cucumber, you can eat these veggies til you are full. swimming is a good exercise because you use all of your muscles.
If you can't resist the chips then get rid of them just throw them out and get something health to chew on such as cucumbers, oranges, apples, oh, you can cut apples real thin and bake them in the oven, very health and also in calories, as far as your legs lie on the side on the floor and bring your legs up and down or you can do the scissors, add weights to your angels and that would help to. The chip thing is all mental after a few days of doing without you will forget them, and if you can't get the baked ones.
chew mint gum. EVERYTHING tastes bad with mint. except mabey MORE mint.
Drink a lot of water, it will fill you up and sometimes hunger is mistaken for thirst. Also don't have chips in the house, brush your teeth, chew some minty gum.
Maybe you can have a baked version of the chips or a little bit. If you are buying a big bag of chips, separate them out into little ziplock bags, and have ONLY ONE per night.

Wherever you are grabbing chips from (pantry etc.), put up pics of models/actresses/celebrities who have great bodies/legs.and reaffirm to yourself that you want to be fit just like them, so you can ONLY HAVE ONE! :-)

If you just like something salty and crunchy at night, you can try other snacks like triscuits and hummus.

Make sure you eat and drink a lot for dinner, so that by the time you get to your chips, you aren't starved and go through an entire bag.

You also have to realize that you are going to get hungry throughout the day..do you want to fill up with a turkey sandwich or lots of chips and dip? When you truly recognize how important the types of food you take in are, you will naturally gravitate away from fatty, fried or rich/creamy stuff (it doesnt completely go away, but you can control your cravings). This will help you lose weight once you control your diet.

A personal trainer once told me.70% of losing weight is the food you take in, the remaining 30% is exercise.

As for losing weight just in your legs, its not going to happen. You gradually lose weight overall in your body, and it comes off your legs too. Do a lot of cardio, definitely lift weights or do some resistance training...and you will reach your goal.

ok, i am tired of typing (lol) -- good luck!
1. Having a full stomach will help get rid of your cravings. So instead of lessening your food intake, simply have a balanced diet. That way, you'll be full of healthy food, and you won't be hungry for any dessert. It's good to have a little dessert, so you can get used to not eating a lot of it, but still enjoying some. But if you really want to get out of eating dessert altogether, just don't stock your place with any. Get rid of all the dessert you have now, and don't buy any more! It will also help if you have a goal, like, trying to eat no dessert for a certain number of days. Give yourself a little treat if you achieve your goals!

2. If you want to lose weight in your legs (without any running), power walk, jog, or bike instead of using your car. You can also use treadmills or stationary bikes. Doing 15-20 minutes of work out with your legs everyday will help them gain muscle and lose fat, making them more shapely and stronger, as well. Just stick to a work out routine you're comfortable with.

Tips:

a.NEVER, EVER starve yourself. No matter how skinny you become, it is not worth depriving yourself of food. It is very unhealthy and could cause your problems.

b.Check your weight and BMI (body mass index) regularly to determine if your diet is working out for you. You can calculate your BMI here: http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/...

c. Keep in mind that just because you're losing weight doesn't mean you're losing fat. You can check your fat percentage here: http://www.csgnetwork.com/healthcalc.htm...
