16 year old male with calorie questions?

Question:
Hey folks.

So I'm 16, HS student, I'm faced with a dilemma of making a huge deal about my health mentally. If my dad says "Hey want me to pick something up from Taco Bell?", I will automatically say "No ill find something at home" I know that's the healthy decision, but it rules my life! I eat so healthy it's driving ME crazy.

I've always been overweight my whole life, peaked at about 205 lbs when I was 13 or so, and since then I've dropped down to about 165 through drastic calorie differences, weight training, and probably just maturity too, I'm probably 5'10'' and a half or so.

I eat about 1000 calories on an average day, consisting of no breakfast, 200/300 calorie lunch, maybe a 100 calorie snack like small bag of popcorn, and whatever I crave for dinner [within 600/700 cals]

I'm at a healthy weight [165], I don't do any more weight training though, can I resort to eating more comfortably? It's a mental barrier. I don't wanna be fat again.

God bless.
Thx so much.

I have almost the same situation, I was skinny when I was younger, then my mom fed me like CRAZY growing up and I gained alot of weight, then by the time I was 12, I was sick of it and started dieting....the truth is, let yourself indulge once in a while...and plus the average male is SUPPOSED to have atleast 2000 calories in there diet daily...if you ask me, Id say up your calories to 1800 a day and work out moderatly...that way, you can eat comfortably, while not gaining weight, I hope this helps, take care dude =]
Honestly, It seems like you look great. Looks aren't everything anyways. Just be healthy and happy with yourself. Being happy is a really big Key. I think if you're sad and depressed with the way you look you're more likely to gain weight, but im not doctor so..
Okay i think if you want to eat more comfortably, maybe you should do some sports. like swimming or jogging around the neighbourhood. It does work. I think you should be fine, if you 're so conscious about your appearance, you will do anything to look good.
What you eat i think impacts a lot more than how much.

I personally eat heaps and ive actually lost weight doing so.

My diet is very high in vegetable content and i dont eat much packet food at all really, mainly just whole foods.

I dont think its natural to stop eating when your still hungry :/ i think listening to your body is the best thing to do.

nobody ever got fat eating vegetables.
If you exercise, you will burn more calories and so you can afford to eat a little more. Don't let calories control your life. I'm surprised weight training lost you that much weight. If anything adding muscle should cause you to gain weight which isn't bad. I'm about 5'5 155 lbs, that doesn't bother me because I do a lot of strength training. Muscle weights more than fat, remember that if anything.
ahh cmon show some fat pride
well sounds like your metabolism isnt as effective as you want it to be. weight training is great, i love it. find nutritional items at GMC and ask them whats good for increasing your metabolism thier very helpful and should have what you need. or eat what you want and run every day. cant kill you but its you life and your in control of it. good luck
i think you sould have something for breakfast, skim milk or one hard boiled egg. Add green salads with olive oil, lemon juice, and a little salt, lettuce, cucumbers, tomatos,at lunch and dinner. And also add some fruits like strawberries, grapes. All these have litle calories, a lot of vitamins, and will fill you
So you are like my hero!! I think your awesome for doing what your doing but you should deff eat atleast 1500 calories a day. & you shouldnt think of it as a negative just think about all those kids whos lifes are controlled by food & what there health is going to be like in 10 years. Keep up the good work!
