Is it safe for?

a 13 and a half year old boy to strength train? I have a bowflex and thought my son may benefit from it, he's about 20 pounds overweight.

Th bowflex is great for him as it is safe and low impact. But he must combine this resistance training with cardio-aerobic.

its ok at any age to strength train just keep a good eye on how much he is trying to lift and since he is only 13 years old you should always be there with him when hes just starting out bec if he lits go at anytime he could harm himself faster than you could count to 5
