Which is worse for you. Beer or Soda?
Question:
Miller Lite or Mountain Dew, for example
Answers:
Soda with phosphoric acid -- like Pepsi and Coke. They suck the calcium right out of your teeth. Other than that, it's a crap shoot. Beer is ok in moderation, but not good for more than one or two a day. Bad for the liver. Soda -- Way too much sugar, and caffeine plus what I mentioned above for some.
Soda has added sugar, but beer has lots of carbs PLUS effects of alcohol. If you like to drink alcohol, have your beer in moderation, and forget the sugary sodas.
I think beer is worse. You can get a "beer belly" which is really hard to get rid of. If you have a "soda belly" it is just flabby fat you get which is easier to get rid of.
soda. atleast if you drink too much of that you won't be some drunk idiot! LMAO
beer because they can become very addicting to the drinker, meanwhile soda its like w/e
If both were drunk in the same manner i would say beer because it destroys your liver.
I don't even drink so i'd have to say soda!
You should try to eliminate both for your best health. Mountain Dew is probably better for you than Miller Lite.
Beer cause brain damage, but soda deteriate muscle... But if you drink sodas that are 'better' for you, like sprite.. I would go with soda.
I'm no health expert, but I'm sure alcohol is worse for the human body than sugar, colorings and carbonated water. Aside from these two, I'd recommend flavored water or just plain water.
I would have to say soda, that is depending on the quality of beer and how much you drink.
They both have a lot of refined carbs, but soda has other agents like phosphates, colorings, and caffeine that are definitely not good for ya.
Beer though tends to be quite yeasty so I'd only drink high quality stuff only once and a while for a treat.
i dono just drink it and enjoy life !!!
As bad as it sounds, I'd actually say the beer. I'm pretty sure Mountain Dew has more artificial junk in it than Miller lite, but If by 'trying to be healthy' you mean being thin, it's between fat and a beer belly, I'm afraid. Think of it this way: Beer is carbohydrates, and in every gram of carbs, there are 4 calories. Soda is sugar, aka Fat, and for every gram of fat, there are 9 calories, so the Pop is probably twice as bad, although without the impairment that comes with drinking beer.
For me think Beer is wose than soda because you could go to jail for drinking beer. But when you drink soda you conly get fat which you could take off very easyly. No like going to jail
If you are trying to be healthy, as in take in sufficient macro and micronutrients for all of your body's metabolic needs, then neither one is "healthy". Neither one contains sufficient nutritional content to be better over time. There is some research that suggests consuming alcohol in moderate amounts can have a benefit in reducing risk of heart disease, but that is not buy providing added nutrients.
However, alcohol is a toxin, a poison to the system, and processing it stresses those bodily systems that are responsible for purification (liver, kidneys, etc.). On the other hand, Mountain Dew contains significant amounts of caffine, an neurological stimulant, in sufficient doses to cause a professional athlete to fail a drug test. It also has its entire caloric content from simple sugars that break down easily. It is also very acidic which can destroy your teeth enammel.
So its not really a question of which one is better, but what are you willing to sacrafice in the long run for the short term "plesure" of consuming these beverages?
(Also the person above who said sugars are fats is incorrect. Sugars are simple carbohydrates, and are 4 calories per gram)
Soda.
Beer is worse
Both, but if I had to pick one I would say beer.
Neither is good for you in ANY healthy way. Both have detracting factors, some more immediate, and others long-term. Water would be best, . . . but if a soda were to be chosen, which has fewer short-term and long-term side effects, . . make it a non-caffeinated drink, like 7-up or Sierra Mist or A & W Root Beer. Mountain Dew is just shy of the caffeine found in Jolt Cola or Original Coke. A Diet soda loses the sugar and the carbohydrates, but retains the sodium (salt), which forces your body to retain water and you continue to stay thirsty.
Beer has all the things that accumlate that are unhealthy short and long-term. Carbohydrates, fats, sugars, and grain alcohol. All of which will increase fat storage and liver damage, kidney damage, and affects every tissue in the human body anywhere the blood flows. It decreased motor neuron speed and reflexes, even though you "feel" good.
Soda can have less of a long-term affect, but water and adding some dairy products, will serve you best.

I don't know but a soda never caused anyone to get a DWI.
