Im going on a 1000 calorie diet?


Question:
my weight is about 190 lbs .
im 14 years old .

i am going on a 1000 calorie diet .
and am going to run 15 min
3 times a day .
can you give me an estimate on about how much i will lose in 1 month ?

1000 cal is too low especially for your age ... you will likely hurt your metabolism ...

shoot for 1500 eating very little sugar, dairy fat, or refined carbs ... stick to whole grains, meats, fruits, and veggies ... what you eat does affect how you body uses it ...

shoot for 20 minutes on the running ... a half hour or more twice a day would be better, even if you walk half of it, as it will keep you in the fat burning phase of cardio longer ...

everyone's body is different so predicting your weight loss in numbers will be really hard.

that's not very smart. when you eat less than you should, your body starts to freak out and will use whatever it can for energy (your muscles.)

umm.your a guy..it should be around 1500 per day if you want to loose weight cuz if you dont loose enough, your metabolism slows down and you wont loose weight but i would say around 10 pounds in one month
1000 calories is NOT enough if you're going to be running. Based on that, you will lose about 10 pounds per month which is VERY FAST!
Doing that kind of a diet is not a very good idea, and it could very well end up backfiring on you, causing you to gain weight. Your body needs a certain amount of calories just to live, and eating less than that will put it into starvation mode. For instance, if I weigh 210 pounds then I burn roughly 2200 calories a day just by being alive. If you eat much less than your base metabolism, then your metabolism will slow way down and you might end up gaining weight as your body tries to keep itself from starving. In addition, you probably will not be able to stay on your diet because you're going to constantly feel hungry, like you're starving yourself. A much better idea is to cut down on how many calories you eat, but not nearly as drastically. A pound is rougly 4000 calories. If you eat between 500 and 1000 calories less per day, then just by eating less you can lose almost two pounds a week. But do not starve yourself, or subscribe to any kind of fad diet that makes you give up certain foods altogether or limits what you really want to eat. The trick is to eat what you want, but to eat less of it.
If you look up "calories burned in a day" on a search engine you can find programs to tell you how many calories you need to consume. You can also look up how many calories you will burn by doing various physical activities.

You can use it to track your calories taken in and burned, 1000 calories a day is not enough!
