Gaining weight?

hi ive been trying to gain weight for a while now and havent gained really any weight ive only been gaining more body fat, like 2 weeks ago i bought a hollister hoodie and now its too tight what am i doing wrong no weight just fat. Please help me

This is really a case by case issue. However, your best bet is to follow a good diet plan coupled with using a bodyfat analyzer of some sort...i.e omron, tabata's etc...This will at least let you know if what you are gaining is truly fat, it could be muscle remember.
Basic nutritional guidelines would be to eat alot of proteins and cut the carbs down. look for 1.5 times bodyweight in protein and around 100 grams of carbs a day. these are just bases, work with them and go from there
your probably losing muslce while you gain fat
yea lift light weights alot and watch the food you eat of course
