Am i A Healthy Weight?

i am a female, 11 years old, and going on 12 in december. i am 5 feet and weight about 95 pounds? is that good or bad? i tried searching it on the internet but it was confusing so im gonna ask you :) and what is the average weight for people my age?

Take this seriously when I say you are at a perfect weight for your height. I know at your age you're getting conscious of your looks and weight but be careful. My daughter, who's twelve and 5 feet tall was a perfect weight at 95 pounds. She decided she wanted more weight loss and got down to 83 pounds, ended up in the hospital and now has a dangerously low heart rate with damage to her liver. It's OK to want to be at a healthy weight, but know that your body needs some fat in order for your heart to function properly. Stay at 95 and don't over do the dieting and exercise. A good general weight for your heighth is 90 to 105 per the nutritionist I spoke with.

You're 12 years old and shouldn't be worrying about your weight at your age.

If you want my honest opinion, I think your weight is fine but I would also say you shouldn't obsess over it. You're still growing, let your body do what it's supposed to do and don't worry about it until you get older.
you just slip into the normal weight section. This is good as it means you are not at as much of a risk as underweight and overweight people. You are an ideal weight. I would say you are probably inder the average weight for people for your age, but you are still a healthy weight.

Hi Laura, the truth is you really shouldn't be worrying about your weight unless you are obese, have diabetes, hypertensive (high blood pressure) or a heart condition. As long as you're active and don't go crazy on junk food your weight is just perfect!! Just remember your body is different from everyone else around you. So try not to think about your weight and compare! You still are growing and your body will change every year for a while... So have fun and enjoy your summer while it lasts okay??
