Is 60 pounds too skinny for 4'6 1/2"?
Question:
Answers:
Well, I was about 90 pounds in 7th grade, but you are shorter then most, so no, it's normal =)
Yes i think so, i think you should weigh between 80-90 pds .
Yeah
Do you look like a toothpick with bumps? I know your short but I suspect that you are quite thin.
yes
for your height you are probably pretty normal weight. you may want to check a height/weight chart to be sure.
Well most people would think that is it and I sort of do but Im no expert. For a 7th grader maybe not you should ask your doctor or check your BMI.
It's skinny, yes, but are you a boy or a girl? What did your Doctor say? Everyone is built different, and if you're healthy, eat right and if your Doctor said you're healthy then I wouldn't worry. However, if you're on a starvation diet because you think you need to look like a skinny model.then yes, you're too skinny. Let your Doctor decide what's normal for you,ok? 4'6 1/2 is not tall, and your weight might be ok for you. Talk to your Doctor.
Some girls have genes that make them bigger than other girls their age or skinnier than a lot of girls their own age. You might just be skinny for your age. If you are eating whenever you are hungry and you are healthy then you should be fine. If you are making an effort to weigh that much then you might have a problem.
Maybe give yourself 10 lbs to work with but i am guessing you have a very small frame , make sure you feel healthy have lots of energy and you are eating nutitious and you feel like you look good in your own opinion . If you are comfortable with your weight thats all that matters as long as you are healthy at that weight . Just eat right and do basic exercises like circuit training at the gym crunches leg lifts and cardio and your body will adjust to its proper weight . Everyone is built diffrent . I weight 165 and I am 6 foot tall but i am built very well I look like am 190 of solid muscle and my girlfriend is 5-4 and 135 and she looks like she is 115 and very toned so what i am saying is everyone pulls weight off diffrently on paper i would look extremly skinny and she would look a little over weight but in reality both of us are in very good shape and without sounding vein very attractive people. So my advice is to eat 5 or 6 good meals a day exercise and your body will adjust to its natural proportion .I know you are kinda young but it is never to early to start eating right and exersicing you will be happy you did it in high school college and especially your 30's . hope I have helped
It does sound a little skinny but you're a foot shorter than me, but I think it depends on the person. If you haven't developed breasts yet, that can add to you being on the "skinny side" (Size D breasts, will show in your overall weight) and I think we have to remember here, you're just out of sixth grade going into seventh, so I'm guessing you're about twelve yes?
I had difficulty gaining weight until I hit my twenties. I was a senior in high school at 5'6" about and I weighed 105. That's very skinny for my height, but I was on the swim team, and theater group (and several other groups that kept me very busy) - so whatever I put in my body was going right back out and then some. Soon as I stopped doing all that stuff, the pounds didn't pack on, but I did find myself up into the 120's and 130's which is the normal healthy weight for my size - regardless of when I was 105 or in the 120/130 range - I was happy and comfortable with my size and if you're comfortable and happy with your weight - that's all that counts. As long as you know you are eating a balanced meal and aren't skipping meals on purpose or going to the bathroom to upchuck them. Those are really the only two signs to look at and just from my experience, I don't immediately goto that conclusion but felt I should mention it so you know.
So I think it depends, I'd say no - it's not skinny - don't worry. Enjoy the seventh grade and be a seventh grader - enjoy being twelve - enjoy sending secret notes to boy's you like - and don't worry and stress about you're weight - you're about ten years too early for that :).
I know for a fact that at age 18, 4'8 the recomended maximum weight should be about 106. The minimum is 96. But thats for 18 years old. Your weight should be 75lbs to 100.
