Is organic food good for weight loss and weight maintenance?

Is it true that foods now these days have hormonse and other preservatives in it that can make you fatter? Will eating organic food prevent weight gain (as long as you eat right and in decent portions).

Organic simply means that the food was grown without the use of pesiticdes or chemicals. Has nothing to do with homones and such.
I don't think that eating organic foods is necessarily going to really help you lose weight. The types of foods that are organic (dairy, chicken, turkey, fruits and veggies) will help facilitate the process tho.
