Running tips?

Question:
i'm going to start running on my treadmill tomorrow and i just need some tips on how to get started should i just run or should i walk this week and run the next? i've never ran before so i'm a beginner please help! also what kinds of exercises should i do afterwards to help tone my stomach, arms and legs? thanks

Answers:
stretch for a good 5-10minutes before you start then walk the first 10minutes to warm up your body, increase the speed to "power walking" for about 2minutes, then add a little more speed and start jogging...stay in the jogging zone for about a week or two..
then after you get more resistance you can start to RUN at fullll speed..and skip the walking at first, start with power walk then run...
always strech, it really does help you not get sore and makes you go faster...

you have to start off lightly , before you start running i would suggest stretching ur legs .. like the 1st day run for about 5 mins and then powerwalk the other 5, you dont want to be sore right after ur first workout. then keep adding more minutes after 2 or 3 days.. what i usually do is after my cardio i do a lot of situps , as for dieting water is they key and stay away from fatty foods eat as much as veggies and fruit as u can
i would suggest starting off slow, ya know, getting used to it. then the more you progress start going faster. then when you get really good do what i do and wear ankle weights while your on it, it may be a while until that but thats a good thing to do when you get there. good luck
Take deep breaths and bigger steps when running
