The problem was that Hitler started small, got few people around him who would follow him anywhere and then got into power when the people had nothing. They had no food, huge debts post WWI and moral was really low. Hitler gave them the Jews as scapegoat to their problems and because their were some pretty powerful and rich Jews, the people took them to be part of the problem. It then all esculated from there.
It wouldn't happen in the US as a whole, but it does happen in every country on a small scale. Look back into history. In some parts of the South, black slaves could be killed on sight if not with there 'owners' during the hieght of the troubles. That was partly because the pro-slave group realised how much they would loose if the slave trade was stopped. And they realised that if the slaves got organised, they could take over most of the country.
I'm afraid in the UK Bush isn't seen as anything like Hilter. We just think he's a bit of a wanker and twat.
Your question is very stereotyped. As a matter of fact, it's really easy to do and has been done here in the US. Did you forget how we treated the Indians? Or the blacks? We didn't even count them as a full person- check out the constitution, where it directs how a census is to be done. As a matter of fact, we didn't enter World War 2 to save the people in the concentration camps. Nobody else did either- because nobody cared about the Jews, the political prisoners, the Poles, the Gypsys, or any of the other people sent to them. And while we were feeling so good about ourselves, we interned American citizens, born here in the US as American as you are, simply because they were of Japanese ancestory. So don't feel too smug that it couldn't happen here. It has, it could again. Crowd mentality is easy to manipulate, just watch the tele-evangelists do it. Watch the politicians do it during the party conventions. All that you have to do is convince a majority of the people that they should hate a certain group, and voila- it happens again. Then once you are in power, you use threats and fear to keep the moderate voices under control. Read up about the McCarthy era, when your political persuasion or ideas could get you blacklisted out of a career, when just the mention you might be a communist was enough. Oh yes, it can happen here to, easier than you might think. So don't get too smug, because then you get lazy and miss the warning signs.

some of the Germans who supported him in the beginning realized he was crazy to late and once he had some of the adults it was easier to brainwash their kids who hadn't figured out what they believed in yet
also it sounds like you like bush and if you do i think you re well i rather not say but even without ever meeting him you can tell he is missing a few braincells i think they should give all candidates IQ test before qualifying for presidency even thought they aren't completely accurate at least well know just about what were getting into
