This depends on how hard you're trying. You also could hit a point where the body has adjusted to your routine, and you need to 'kick it up a knotch'. You could find another type of workout that will use different muscle groups, or try interval training. This is pushing yourself really really hard to easing up, then pushing yourself again like every ten minutes.
Also mix aerobic workouts (for endurance and calories burning) alternating weight training (which boosts the metabolism and creates lean muscle to replace fat.
I would suggest measuring your body with a tape measure. Sometimes you won't see changes on the weight scale due to muscle weighing more than fat (but taking less space), or water weight gain. You'll notice inches dropping though.
good luck
maybe you hit a plateau you change up your excersise a bit
Were all different, so it just depends on your BMI and how much exercise you're doing etc.

I mean you can do all the exercise you want, but if you're chowing down on McDonalds or just not eating a healthy diet in general, odds are you won't lose any weight. No matter how intense your exercises are and how often.

.SO if you must, go see a dietician or try and find a diet plan and exercise plan that suites you.

Its gets harder to lose weight when you get close to your ideal weight. Definately try changing your workout routine and incorporate weight training if you do not do it already.
It's frustrating as hell, but normal.

The chances are you are doing something wrong. The mistake most people make is they eat too little. It puts their body into a starvation mode and adjusts your body to have less muscle and more fat.

Another common problem is over-training - if someone is working out for an hour or more each day and not taking any days off, their body will go into the same state, and their muscles will be depleted.

Another possibility is that you were previously losing weight, but you are on a plateau because your body adjusted to your diet and workout regime in order to maintain it's body weight. If this is the case, you just need to change things up in your diet AND in your workouts.

Finally... you may have an underactive thyroid, or some other issues with your metabolism that is preventing you from losing weight.

The best thing to do now, is call your doctor and set up an appointment. Keep a food journal and a workout journal for every day up until your appointment to show him/her what you have been doing.

They may suggest a nutritionist, or a blood test, or just a better diet and workout regime.
