Foods high in fiber?

Question:
What foods/fruits/veggies are high in fiber? Fiber binds you correct? Not makes you "loose"..

Answers:
Fiber makes you regular. Neither loose nor bound up. Raspberries are high in fiber. I like to add all bran to my yogurt. I also look for whole grain breads and pitas high in fiber. Black beans and other beans are great to add to salads and have lots of fiber. Also Fiber one makes some tasty bars that are high in fiber.
I love GoLean Crunch cereal. It tastes great - has protein AND fiber! 8 grams of fiber I believe. Keeps you full all morning!:)
There are 2 types of fibre - soluble and insoluble.

Insoluble fibre can not be digested but helps to add bulk to keep us feeling full and our stools regular. These would be whole grains, brown rice, fruits and veggies.

Soluble fibre is partially digested but helps to lower cholesterol. These would include oats and legumes like peas and lentils.

We should be getting about 25-30 grams of fibre a day however, most people would be lucky if they got 10 grams.

A high fibre diet has been shown to reduce the risk of colon cancer as it helps to move things through your body.

It is very important to increase your fibre to at least 25 grams but do this slowly as your body will have a difficult time adjusting to the increase.
