Answers:
once you workout take about 20-30 grams directly after and it cant hurt you it can only make you fat if you take too much protein
Hi
May I ask what you are mixing in with it first, if its Milk don't use the full fat as you will gain unneccary fat!
My husband is a professional body builder, he drinks it about an hour and a half before training, you can't drink it and immediately train you will be sick, and then he drinks it after training. he drinks it on his off days which is only one day a week, it does help to break from it for a week about every 4 to 6 weeks, are you drining creatine as Well?
If you need any help with a program i am sure my husband can give you some ideas depends what your into.
Regards
Sally
If your goals are to build muscle then you should eat a meal with 30g of protein every 2-3 hours. The rule is 1g of protein per pound of body weight (200lbs-200g per day). I would suggest taking 40-50g of whey powder right after you lift weights with a simple sugar snack or drink (banana/gatorade). If you dont have time to cook something and cant get protein with a meal then you could take 30g of whey. Ive read on bodybuilding sites that it is better to try to get most of your protein from foods, so only use the whey pre and post workout when you want it to be digested quickly, or when you dont have time to cook.
