Of course it is. Walking, running or just simply moving around is a good exersice. Any kind of exersice that makes your heart beat faster it's good for you.

walking is good ; but it doesnt make your heart beat fast. the faster your heart beats, the more calories your burning. so if your walking you might not loose weight. my mom tries walking everyday but its not working. instead you should try jogging or running. it helps A LOT. much more than walking. or even fast walking will help.
