You are not alone!! Junk food is only a habit...Not a lifetime. Try your best to start eating small amounts of healthy food. Most folks who are used to eating junk and then decide to eat healthy all of a sudden do get sick because their bodies have not made the necessary digestive enzymes. Your body will only make up enzymes to digest the type of food that you have eaten in the last 3-4 days. So if you want to eat some vegetables, eat what I call a "no thank you helping". It is just a bite or two to help prime the digestive enzyme pump. Everyday, leave a bite or two off of your pizza or your chicken nugets and sub with a bite or two of veggies.
Try to incorporate some exercise...Even if it is just walking around the block. Again START SLOW. Add an extra block each week until you are walking for an hour and then start working on your speed.
Good luck!! GO for it!!
Low Carb Dieting Tip
Your rate of metabolism dictates how many calories you burn. Heredity, gender, age, body size. diet and nutrition, activity level, and your overall health factor in on determining how high or low your metabolism is. It is normal for metabolism levels to lower as a person ages. Because of this it is important to begin stepping up your exercise routines in your thirties and forties.
Ways to Boost Your Metabolism
Eat Regularly - Eating 5-6 small meals throughout the day will give you energy throughout the day--helping you to burn calories. Whereas, calories eaten during larger meals tend to get stored as fat.
Maintain a Balanced Diet - Not only how often you eat is important, but your food choices are equally as important. Nurture you body with the appropriate balance of protein and carbs.
Eating whole foods rather than processed food gives your digestive system a workout that burns calories. For example: choose an apple over apple juice.
Workout with Weights - Building muscle mass will replace stored fat. As you build muscle tissue your metabolism increases.
Don't Forget Cardio - You need to get that heart rate up and breathe a little heavier. Twenty to thirty minutes of cardiovascular activity 5 days a week is recommended. Brisk walking or swimming are good. Or utilize exercise equipment (exercise bike, treadmill, or elliptical trainer).
youre probably just feeling sick when you eat healthy foods because youre not used to them. try to start out slowly by just eating a little bit each day and then starting to more and more replacing the junk food with some fruits or vegetables over a longer period of time. (maybe about a month)
it's because your tastebuds are accustomed to the junk and fatty foods
i suggest you eat healthy, even if you don't particularly like it at first- you may actually start to like new foods
and don't be afraid to look up recipes online
there are always ways to make terrible-tasting food taste great, just make sure it's a healthy recipe
It is because you are used to eatting just junk food. I used to always eat that too when i was really young. Im 13 too. So you dont like fruit? Well exersise (if you dont, like 45 minutes every other day. You should do cardio. Cardio is running or anything to make your heart race). Chicken is good for you. Well only grilled or broiled. And you could eat special k, total, cheerios, or rasin brand with skim milk. Good luck! :)
Maybe when you were younger your dad never made you try new things, like vegetables. Of course, they're not colorful and they don't come through a drive-thru at McDonald's. Maybe, you think that vegetables and fruits are gross because they're not fun foods like chicken nuggets or pizza. Think of fruits and vegetables as fun food. For example, try dipping cold baby carrots into ranch dip. Oh, and next time you're going through the McDonald's drive through, instead of ordering those chicken nuggets, try their fruit/yogurt/walnut dish. It fills you up and the apples and walnuts are fun to dip in the yogurt!
Learning to change any habits, including eating habits, requires patience and dedication. You sound like you want to change your behavior, and that's an important first step. Start by eating variations of the foods you will eat. You said you like chicken nuggets. Instead, eat a plain baked chicken breast. Eat small portions of veggies, and eat them slowly. You will realize over time that you won't get sick from them. The thing you need to remember, though, is when you add in veggies suddenly, it can cause stomach pain because your body isn't used to processing them. Start slowly and build yourself up to eating more. I would also say, talk to your doctor. The doctor will give you help in picking which foods to eat, and how much exercise you should be getting to help with your weight.
wow, now this is something i can really answer, i had the same problem for years, i now only way 142..force yourself to try new things, it does not mean you have to stop eating those things, just cut down on them, why your on a diet, make it clear to yourself that you want to look good and see how much you care about your apreance and your futcher, while on a diet, make junk food a once every two weeks or once a month, eat good food, you can eat many things, almost anything on a table, just try to add some more less fat foods to you diet, work out, like walking, sit ups, things like that, even bike riding, work out on a regular basis, once you have lost all the weight you want you can pick up a little on the junk food, but keep it under control and if you worry that you may gain all your weight back, just try and keep yourself on a regular workout plan, jogging is the best way..
Hey Buddy, seems as if you talked yourself into believing you don't like other foods. Now, what you got to do is talk yourself into believing you like other foods. So have pizza. But you have to tell yourself you are gonna like the salad or vegetable or fruit that you are gonna have with it. Same with the chicken nuggets. Eat them, but say to yourself, I am gonna have green beans or broccoli with it. Try new foods it's fun. Go to the store and help your parents pick a different vegetable and fruit and tell yourself, hey I'm gonna try that. I know you can do it. You don't want to get sick. And eating the same thing all the time sure must be boring. See if your parents will let you pick something from the store that you want. Say maybe a game or book or something like that. But first you have to try 5 new foods, meaning veggies or fruit. GOOD LUCK.
well... idk y u luv junk food so much. sry i cant answer tht cuz idk u. i luv junk food too! =) but not fast food. thts gross. n e way. its good that u r catching this while u r 13 b/c when u r older all of the bad food will catch up to u when ur motabolism slows down. just exercize. and let me tell u sumthing... it doesnt matter if ur gona be overweight. wut matters is u dieing young. anything with high fructose cornsyrup or energy drinks is bad cuz it can make ur heart beat faster and u could develope an eregular heartbeat. wich means it can be harder for u to pump blood to ur heart at times and when u r older u can get a heart attack really easily. just TRY to eat right. i no it is hard but. think abut it... do u want to die? no. so just try to find a healthy food that u really like.
i replaced having peanutbutter with almond butter its high in calories but its SOOOOOOOOOO good for u and it takes 20 million times better than freakin peanut butter.
goooood luck
That diet is going to be a problem when you go to a nice restaurant for a special occasion or when you get older and start dating. Good luck finding a date that likes to go to McD for dinner ! You will also continue to gain weight and if you eat sugery junk food you may be at risk for diabetes- a very serious disease. I would suggest vitamins, daily exercise, eating at pre-set times of the day instead of when you're bored, low fat snacks like pretzels, rice cakes, try different fruits & vegetables- theres 100's to choose from and you have to like a few of them. I would highly recommend joining a sports team to keep active and healthy. Your parents can eat anything they want and they choose to eat a regular meal and they like it, so it can't be that bad. I think the reason you eat junk food is the commercials and the fancy packaging. If fast food restaurants advertised, packaged, and branded vegetables like nuggets america would be skinny.
