Is it good or bad for a teen to start drinking protien shakes/pre workout drinks?

Cuz idk if its true but some people have said a person under 18 shouldnt take protien shakes or drink boosters since it would mess up thier growth or something like that

I'm just guessing here but in order to build muscle you need testosterone. If you are a prepuber your not going to have what it takes to build muscles. So the extra protein may hurt your kidneys if you aren't able to use it. It probably just something they put on the label to cover their butts.
Well they shouldn't until they are atleast older than 14 or so.
i haven't heard of that but it does make sense. i'm assuming you're talking about the stuff like at smoothie king? i say just stick with the smoothies. why would you need it so young anyway? i don't feel like i need any kind of energy booster lol.
As long as you stick to a regular diet and don't overdo it with the boosters, there shouldn't be any problem.
well, it can be bad if you drink it daily and you are not doing any workout, protien shakes contain a lot of vitamins that can cause you to gained weight.
It is a nutritional supplement, so it shouldn't do any damage if, like with everything else, you do it in moderation. If you drink a protein shake and exercise smartly then you shouldn't have any issues. Both my brothers drank them and are a foot and a foot and a half taller than I am. It's caffeine which may interfere with growth.
