I want to lose 10 lbs. and flatten my stomach, how can i go about doing this?

i know about dieting and exercising, but what exercises and how much should i do?
how long should it take me achieve my goal?

Personally, I was in the same boat about 3 wks ago.I ran a mile every morning, then did an hour of yoga booty ballet, amd to finish off I did 200 crunches( 25straight, 25 left side, 25 right side, and 25 straight X 2)and cut out all fats in my diet, added lots of salads, and fat free yogurts. It works, just make sure you stick to it! and don't slack off a coupel days b/c it only takes 3 days to lose 7days worth of training. Good Luck!
If u want to flatten your abs use the ab machine at the gym they have don't lose weight because muscles weigh more than fat. But it will take a few weeks it depends how much your body want to lose.
its not about how many exercises you do, its about how well you do them. If its only 10lbs i'd say 10 weeks or if you go a little harder i might say 7-8 weeks
For weight loss, nothing beats cardio exercise. I would recommend doing running, biking, or swimming, as all of these will help you lose weight better than any other exercise.
