Replacement for walking?

Question:
I have been trying to get a little more healthy. So for the past few months i have been walking. I live about two block from the ocean so i have been walking there and along the sand and back. But now the heat index is reaching about 115 degrees. Since there are heat advisorys out now,i can't exactly continue to walk everyday. So are there any good replacements for walking i could do in the house? Thanks in advance! :0)

Answers:
buy a treadmill
Walk in the mall when its hot or just dance around the house to your favorite music...
If you have stairs in your home, you could go up and down stairs, walk in a public mall, or walk very early morning or very late evening when it isn't as hot. Good luck!!
you could always buy a treadmill, but if you would rather not spend the money, you could do other exercises such as climbing up and down steps, situps, crunches, lunges, squats, and other simple stretches. another great option you could probably look into is buying a work out video. a lot of places sell them for under $15 so it's not that bad of an investment and they're fun to follow along with.
Consider the Step Ups using a good stable platform and using your hand like you are walking up and down. If you have enough strength, try the rope jump and you should start gradually. Rope jumping is the ultimate exercise but again, not if you are having a health issue that prevents you from it and always consult with your doctor.
