Answers:
Your body has three general sources of calories: carbs, fat, and protein. Your typical meal is heavily carbs, which gives you quick energy and lots of it. Protein and fat take longer to digest and process and will give you energy later once your liver processes them and forms them into sugars.

Once you burn all you get from your meals you go into a small sugar reserve in your liver. Once you burn your sugar reserve your body begins to burn fat and protein that are stored.

Basically, it begins to take your muscles and fat and make them into sugars and energy. If you don't eat enough fat and protein your body will lose fat and protein.

Doing this for a long time causes weight loss. If you are not careful though, your metabolism can be burning energy faster than it produce it and you can faint which can damage your body and organs because they don't have vital nutritients.
u burn protien instead of fat && carbs
you burn fat and then you get really skinny.
The 2 first people are wrong- U will burn muscle, which is very bad because your metabolism will slow down. To fix this, try to eat every 3-4 hours.
Your body and you will not like the long term consequences of this. Trust me, eat the calories you're supposed to be eating for your age.
You starve. Then you die of starvation.

Seriously, if you work out hard, then you should at least balance out when you eat. Keep tabs on your weight. If it is steady, you're getting the calories you need.

If it's dropping, you are losing energy reserves. That could be dangerous.

Basically, if you're depleted of calories, your body will start conserving energy and becoming more efficient extracting calories from foods you do eat. It can always break down muscle and bone mass for energy as well.

Long term, you're looking at making your body so conservative and efficient at calorie extraction from food, that once you're too old to exercise as much as you do, you'll practically swell up and become really fat.

You do want to give your body the calories it needs, it will keep your energy level up and keep your metabolism and digestion, as well as your fat reserves from going berserk later on.

Try some trail mix and snack on it. Remember, exercise is an appetite suppressant. People who sit around all day eat a lot, people who exercise a lot don't get too hungry. But each kind must control their intake to be what they need. In your rare case, you need to increase your intake so you don't end up hurting yourself later.
Here a breakdown.

Your body is still burning calories. And lots of them. You just aren't adding any to help your body out at all. The bodies favorite method of getting calories is via healthy foods(unprocessed). The second method is by breaking down protiens from the muscles, liver, kidneys organs and blood cells. So what does this mean?

Even though your brain thinks it's out smarting your body, the body is going to keep breaking down muscle tissue to get it's energy. So eventually when you start eating again, it's going to store as much energy as possible for it's next starvation. At this point your body will break it's food down to replensih the damage to the organs, blood cells, and muscles. The it will store the rest as fat deposits through out the body. You need to realize that the body and the brain are seperate, and the body is self sustaining and independent from the brain. Inorder for you to get a healthy balance, you must eat an energy food before/after your workouts and in the morning when you wake up.

If you just don't like food, start using protien shakes, or amino acid supplements. If your goal is to end up looking like a bag of bones under skins, and eventually in the hospital then you should continue your method. If not, give your body some help. It's never let you down.
Calories give your body energy to do work at it's best. Without calories you can get tired quicker. Without food and calories, your body starts burning the fat you already have for energy. If you don't have very much fat, your body burns muscle for energy. And after a while your body starts storing fat when you eat, instead of burning it, because it doesn't want to be starved again.

I suggest you eat lots of fruits and vegetables and protein for good calories and energy.
