Are multivitamins that are 2 yrs. old still good?

Question:

Answers:
It should have an expiration date on the bottle. I would assume after two years they would be expired. Some organic compounds break down over time, and the vitamin maker can only guarantee the potency for a certain period of time after the manufacture date.
I found this post on the internet and thought you might find it useful.

Is it okay to take vitamins after their expiration date?
"No. While minerals generally do not deteriorate vitamins do and their potency diminishes over time. The expiration date is there to ensure that you are getting the freshest products, with the highest possible quality and potency. Although the potency of certain vitamins may be diminished over time, they do not become harmful after expiring. In general, it is not recommended to take products that have expired" (Studentformula, 2005)
Vitamins are supposed to have about a 2 year shelf life. They aren't just immediately no good after the 2 years are up though, they will still be good, they just aren't as potent as they were. After the two years you can still take them you just might want to up your dosage a little bit in order to be fully benefited.
is there an expiration date I wouldn't take them unless you know that or go out and buy some new ones! Be Safe ok ;)
