When is it considered anorexia?

Question:
which ones would be considered anorexia:
-not eating for 24 hrs, then having a meal, then not eating for 24 hrs.
-eating 600 cals a day
-eating 200 cals a day
or is anorexia only not eating at all...? Which one is the most dangerous?

Answers:
well of course not eating for 24 hrs. and then eating a meal and not eating again is the most dangerous and is definately called anorexia. the other two are just as bad. the second worst is only eating 200 calories because i know that is way way less than you are supposed to have and i guess you could call that anorexia too. eating 600 is not the worst you could do but you still need to eat more than that. eating 600 calories is not classifed as anorexia but ur getting there.
hope this helps.
all of the above. its not eating ENOUGH and your body begins to feast on itself
The 200 calorie one! And obsessing over food but not eating it you know you are starving but feel useless and unworthy of eating thus wreaking your health and your body, i have known many with this ugly disease who are so ill today...
Anorexia is not eating at all.. but all of these are very unhealthy and dangerous for someones body.
"How is the disease characterised?

Body weight is maintained at least 15 per cent below that expected for a person's height.

It is self-induced weight loss caused by avoiding fattening foods and may involve taking excessive exercise, using laxatives or diuretics or self-induced vomiting.

There is a strong, almost overwhelming fear of putting on weight, with sufferers preoccupied with the shape or size of their bodies.

Rules are invented regarding how much food is allowed and how much exercise is needed after eating certain amounts of food.

Those suffering from anorexia pursue a very low 'ideal' weight."

As you can see, say with the last one, anorexia is a psychological thing as well - it depends on your mental state whether you can be classified as anorexic.

It seems that all of your points there (e.g. eating 600 cals a day) seems to fall into the categories mentioned above. i.e. if it also involves 'rules about how much food is allowed..' as the reason for 600 cals a day.

Hope this helps x
