Why do men lose weight faster than women?

Question:
My dad has lost 26 pounds by just reversing his diet, I've lost about 22 but I have to work like a horse to budge a bloody pound off. He doesn't exercise at all, I get at least 45 minutes of exercise a day.

Why is it that men lose weight faster than women?

Answers:
could possibly be that guys have more testosterone which may help burn fat, although, i'm just speculating
men are naturally more muscular (thank you testosterone!). The more muscles the more calories you burn.
It's because they have more muscle mass I believe. Sucks, doesn't it?
i heard it's cuzz of their muscle mass
Women have the babies, and we hold on to fat stores in our bodies for that purpose. Its nature. Men got it easy!
its partly to do with are metabolic rate..

e.g. my friend can eat like a horse, never puts on a pound

me if i ate the same amount , i'd be a lot bigger than i should be.

it's party to do with him excercising a LOT more, as the metabolic rate goes up..

as for men and women, well our bodies are different also.

try drinking a pint or 2 of water BEFORE every meal, that will make your tummy fuller and you will eat smaller portions..
because man do more exercise than women and girls body is more delikate and lazy
Men generally have more muscle than women, which in turn burns more fat. Also, men often eat/crave protein more often than women, and women's bodies are designed to store fat to support babies, so it sucks for us I guess.
testosterone, muscle mass, metabolism. ah, and the mos important one. hormones! our hormones cause our weight to fluctuate faster, but shed slower.
