A great resource for healthy lifestyle living is Sparkpeople.com
When you register (if you decide to) you enter your goals (what weight you want to be, and the date you want to reach that goal) and it will give you an exercise plan and meal plans (or you can create your own.) But, if you're wanting to lose more than 2 pounds per week, you'll have to do the math yourself after they give you the resources and such (since losing weight slowly and keeping it off (2-5 pounds a week depending on your weight, gender, and other factors) is the best way to do it.
If you're looking for a "fast" (it still will take a little bit to see results, but not eating processed foods will help!) way to lose some pounds, eat a balanced diet of healthy foods (lots of fresh vegetables and fruits, beans are a good protein source. You can even drink protein shakes and eat vegetables and fruits. (I did this for a while when I wasn't eating much meat...I had a protein deficieny and the doctor recommended it. -I just don't like meat.-) Drink AT LEAST 64 oz of water a day (the amount of water your body needs to function at it's best) And even if you do this, you can track your calories on Sparkpeople.com 's nutrition tracker. And you can track your exercise on their fitness tracker (how many calories you burn doing exercises)
But, to answer your question, first THAT IS NOT SAFE!! Starving yourself is bad for your body for the time you'll be doing that, and in the long run. After the first day or two, your body will basically stop burning fat and go into 'survivial mode' and you probably won't lose weight-or much... And, once you start eating again, your body will still be 'survival mode', for a few days (I'm not really sure how long) and thinks that it may go through a period of starvation again, so you may gain weight, because your body is storing more fat, "just in case."
Eating a well balanced diet (1220-1550 calories/day [maybe more or less depending on your gender, and weight]) and the right amount of protein, complex carbs, and fats (which you can easily access if you register with sparkpeople.com) is the best way to do it to maintain a healthy lifestyle and be fit. ... of course exercising goes along with that!!
--Doing the "low carb" diet and Atkins diets, are not always the best way to do it...I know they work for some people, but most of them wind up putting the weight back on. The best thing for your body is to eat the right amount, and the right kind of those foods. Your body needs amino acids found in meats that are not found in much else (if you are a vegan or vegetarian, or just don't want to eat meat, there are other places you can find the amino acids, but to get them all they are in LOTS of different foods), and your body needs the complex carbs from whole grains (whole wheat/grain bread, flour...etc...). And eating the lean proteins and whole grains together work even better for your body, together they have what is needed in your body to create energy, and also help you feel "full" after eating them, which is a bonus for those who like food (like me...) And those along with the nutrients found in fruits and vegetables can help your body greatly! And, yes, body builders do eat complex carbs and protein before workouts and such, but just because you eat them, doesn't mean you're going to build muscle like body builders (unless you want to)...
I'm not saying you have to register with Sparkpeople.com, you can manage those things and keep track of them yourself, but Sparkpeople give you tools and resources to make it easier. You can also look up articles about eating the right foods, and what kind of damage is done to your body when you starve it. Find out what kind of lifestyle (diet) is healthiest for you, and once you know more about it, you'll probably be able to stick with it...what you eat and your exercising (which are both a big part of a healthy lifestyle). There are also tools to help you maintain your weight, if what you are worried about is gaining weight.
(and even if you don't want to register with Sparkpeople, you can browse through recipes and find some things that may work for you.)
that is extremely unsafe to do.
you need to eat soild food, fruits and veg, and lean protein.
tea will not do much for you, and you will end up harming your body more than helping it.
good luck, are you desi
You would be too weak and sick to know.
im not sure but thats a really bad idea. you have to eat
It's a dumb thing to do!
You'll drop dead of malnutrition. Eat a balanced diet. Do it right.
ignorant.
you may lose weight at first, but after a few days your metabolism will shut down to preserve fat and you will maintain the same weight
Those kinds of diet rarely have long term success because sooner or later you will start eating and then your body won't be used to it and will start saving it, getting ready in case it will have to live with no food again
You will more than likely be in hospital, play fast and loose with your health at your peril.
I'm sorry but that has to be the most stupid diet I have ever heard of. U will get really sick. You can still have the tea and a normal balanced dietl. Try Atkin's but the tea would have to be unsweetened.
OVERALL: DONT STARVE YOURSELF!!!
don't do that. that is a totally unhealthy way to lose weight. i suggest a low-carb diet (i lost like 10 pounds in 7 days and my mom lost 15...20 carbs or less a day) but, if you really want to do the tea thing, i would advise you to at least eat some vegatables with it. you need to eat some solid foods, or your body will not function properly.
Good luck! :)
thats called anorexia
It wont take 6 people to Cary your coffin, one would do.
my friend I have just fasted for seven day and water was the only thing I had, plus I stopped smoking at the same time and lost 1 stone 7 pounds after that ended and another week passed I put a stone back on, so think carefully, it takes some will power, it totally cleanses your mind and body and your motabolism speeds up 10 fold
First you burn more than 500 calories a day doing nothing more than lying in a bed and eating and drinking. You would be so dehydrated after a few days (even less in the heat of summer) that you would do irreprable harm to all your organs especially the kidneys. You WOULD NOT lose weight as your body would go into starvation mode and retain any available moisture and fat! No sweating would cause a dramatic rise in body temperature making the dehydration worse! You could go without food but not without water and 2 cups of tea is not food and not enough water!even then any initial weight loss would be regained as soon as you started eating. If you fast then the weight lost is water not fat!
If you try this your body will quickly switch to 'starvation mode'. Here it attempts to conserve as many calories as possible and wight loss is very slow. The body switches to a catabolic mode, breaking down not only fat but muscle. This can include the breakdown and subsequent damage of heart muscle, which is of course extremely dangerous.
The only way anyone is likely to sustain weight loss is basically less in, more out. This means a MODEST reduction in calorie intake accompanied by regular vigorous exercise. Not getting off the couch is the main reason why 2 in 3 so called dieters end up getting HEAVIER!
I do that but with coffee and a cereal bar each day and burn about 800 cals a day 5 days a week and it averages about 7lb but the minute you eat anything, the weight goes on at a ridiculous pace, you just have to allow your stomach to shrink
Who cares what weight you would be? You certainly wouldn't be healthy enough to care anyway.
