Size of my body?

Question:
i'm 14 years old, about 140/145 pounds depending on what i have eaten. i'm around 5'6/5'7. i eat mainly good things but i do eat junk food sometimes, like everyone else. i dance for about 2/3 hours a day three times a week. also in high school i'm on the danceline who practices and performs outside alot of hours. i'm really uncomfortable with my body and starting this monday i'm going to start eating healthy all the time and go on a diet. what do you think of my look?? am i right in choosing to go on a diet? i think i need it. how bad do you think my size is? honest opinions please.

Answers:
ON FIRST THOUGHT FROM DESCRIPTION YOU SOUND . ON THE BORDER, BUT FROM PICTURE QUITE THE OPPOSITE. YOU ARE VERY ATTRACTIVE AND SHOULD HAVE NO WORRIES.
You look healthy, but if you wanna lose weight, then I don't think that would be a problem either. You aren't fat or anything, so don't think that I'm saying that please, but you are at a good weight right now. If you aren't comfortable with your weight, then go ahead, but if I was you then I wouldn't.
Good Luck!
FOOD is more powerful than any prescription weight loss pills, because the FOOD that you eat can either make you THIN or FAT. You don't get fat because of a lack of exercising, that's a myth. You get fat because you don't eat the right foods at the right intervals each day.

Also, the pattern that you choose to eat your meals each day is more powerful than any prescription weight loss pills. This is true because your body is like an "engine" and it only needs certain foods at certain intervals each day, and if you don't eat the right foods at the right times then it won't burn those calories -- and you'll wind up storing those calories as fat tissue. (Hint: You need to eat more than 3 times per day to lose weight)
well im 15 and weigh 123 and im 5'6..people say im just the rite size and my doctor says it to..maybe you should not say the word diet..just say ur goin to eat healthy, cut out all junk foods and drink a lot of water, no soda, no juice, nothin but water..try eating more vegatables..also try gettin into other sports such as basketball..i play basketball and im in great shape but not muscular or anything, just fit..also dont strave yourself of throw up, thats no good..

i hope everything goes good wit u
u look like a normal person
i recommend not going on a super strict diet
just one where u cut out most junk food
and do some running...
im saying this cause i have a dancer friend and she cant even run a block without being out of breath, im not saying u may be like this
and some crunches help too
=)
I don't have to look at your photo. I was 140/145 at that height and i looked fine. If you are uncomfortable with that silhouette, do some pilates (you can take a class at the y or just buy a DVD or get a book out of the library) and you will stretch out and stand taller - which makes you look slimmer.
Lots of dancers look slim because their posture is so good. If you pay attention to the 'shoulders down, head level' look, you'll appear confident and your clothes will hang on your body better. Just try that for a week and don't tell anybody about it - someone will comment that you are standing taller or you have lost weight!
