Gain weight over summer normal, or is it just me??

Question:
i have gained 8 lbs since the beginning of summer. is it because i have hardly any schedule and have more time to eat than during the school year and it's too hot to power walk anymore. because usually people lose weight during the summer right?? what can i do?

Answers:
I think it's normal. You are at home more often therefore you get bored and people tend to snack on stuff when they are bored. Go walk early in the moring or around 7pm. Buy a workout video and do that at home.
thats pretty normal becasue you'r not up and running around like in school, were you get distracted to eat
It's normal to gain weight over summer vacation, because during the school year, school gives people stress - generally, stress makes you lose weight - also, people have more energy to exercise, probably from being around other people. I've noticed that the people you're around really makes a difference in your attitude and your general behavior. Plus, all that walking around the school from class to class can be a bit of a workout sometimes!
I don't know how old you are, but have you grown any? That could also do it. Usually the taller you get the more you'll weigh.
Actually, most people gain more weight during the winter months when its cold out. During the summer, people on average, are more active. If you are not, try to get out and get some type of cardio on most days of the week. Ride a bike instead of watching TV, go swimming when its hot, take an early morning or evening walk. Don't let the weather be an excuse to gain weight.
