How to lose 40 pounds?

most diet books will reccommend that you only lose about 2 pounds a week. so that means it could take up to 5 months to accomplish this. however it does matter how much you are working out and how few calories you take in. i once lost 50 pounds in about 3 months because i was working out like crazy playing sports and eating less and i was in the best shape of my life, with no bad side affects.
She needs to start eating 6 small meals a day. She needs to drink 5 glasses of water a day or more if possible (bladder will adjust and wont need to go toilet all the time). She needs to start exercising (maybe do it together?)... walking, jogging, tennis, soccer anything that increase the heart rate e.g. cardio!
Her meals need to consist of protein and carbs and only a small amount of good fat (such as that in tuna)
Low in sugar bran cereals are great with some yoghurt, chicken salad or tuna is great. Just really low in fat.
Dont eat too little though because the body goes into starvation mode and will retain all the food you put into it. You need to fuel the body with the right foods in small quantities often.
Snack of fresh fruit, nuts etc
Your sister needs a family that isnt going to tell her she's ugly and has to change. 40 lbs? Big deal. Are you in the US? If she wants to fit in she should probably gain about 30 more, seeing as how almost 70% of chicks are overweight. Losing weight is very simple: Dont eat as much, move around more.
