Why is fat so stubborn and how can it be annihilated?

Answers:
It's not invincible, it just has a lot of inertia.
The main problem with fat is that this is your body's long term survival mechanism and it doesn't want to give it up without a fight. There's also the fact that a small portion of the world's population is wired to hold onto that fat regardless of what they do. For these people nothing short of liposuction can actually get rid of the weight. We're not going to talk about them however.
For the rest of you, there is a way that fat can be annihilated and it's actually really simple. All you have to do is eat less and exercise more. Seriously, this is what you have to do.
Step 1: Find out what your BMR (base metabolic rate) & activity level are. Google the term, you'll find a lot of calculators on the internet.
Step 2: Once you get this number (which is the number of calories you need to take in to maintain your weight), you eat less than that number. A good rule of thumb is reduce it by 500 calories. The bad thing is you will need to count calories.
Step 3: Get off your butt and start exercising. I recommend a programme of one day cardio/one day weights. Do this six times a week (3 days for each, alternate each day) and on the 7th day take a break and do some light cardio only.
Step 4: Give it time. Weight loss doesn't happen overnight and too many people give up after a week or two. This might take several months or even a few years if you've got a lot to lose but you need to do what you need to do.
Step 5: Once you lose the weight, don't stop. Too many people go back to their old habits once they lose the weight but you simply can't do this. Sure, have an extra slice of cake just don't eat the entire thing. Learn to manage your portions and still go out a few times a week to work out and keep active. In the end you'll feel better for doing so.
If you had the answer you would be a millionaire to reduce obesity.
Stop eating rubbish thats bad for you, snacking between meals and start exercising. The fat will turn into muscle and what is not needed will disapear as the body trims itself down!
You could slow down on the eating. STOP all between meal
eating and stick to 3 meals a day. FAT is no beautiful. in fact
it is UGLY and the person with the fat UGLY along with it.
will power..trust me leaving fast food is even more difficult than leaving drugs you gotta throw it outta your house woke up early in the morning and start doing workout you may not like it the first day but as you will do it for several days it will be a routine for ya..But yeah you sure need a stubborn will power woke up early in the morning and scream out "i can do this" you can trust me its easier than going to moon..
I am experimenting on green tea right now. They say it really burns your fats.
Hm, I read in a magazine some diet tips for lazy people who don't really like to exercise:
1. Get enough sleep, don't sleep late at night.
2. Stay away from any kind of canned/packaged beverage. Drink lots of water instead (and green tea, haha)
3. Have a breakfast every morning.
4. For 10am brunch, just drink 600ml plain water and you won't feel hungry for a while.
5. Eat your favorite junk food at lunch. In fact, you can eat anything at lunch. Just make sure you don't have late lunch (same time everyday will be perfect)
6. 4pm, and you feel hungry again... Just eat some high-fibred yoghurt, or low-fat somethings, or juice.
7. Don't have dinner after 7. And just have protein without carbo.
NO:
1. Salty snacks, or instant noodles
2. Cigarettes.
3. Alcohols.
Good luck :)
Well, almost everyone gets that problem. Start an exercise routine and have a healthy diet. Don't overdo your diet or your exercise because this is unhealthy. Don't cut meals. This may make you even fatter they say. Eat just enough. Have a BIG meal for breakfast, a medium sized meal for lunch, and a small serving for dinner. This way, you burn all the fat during the day. Give in to temptation on occasions. Grab a slice of cake a little now and then, but not big amounts. Lay off the fatty and greasy stuff. Specifically, fastfood. Eat a lot of vegetables and fruits and dont sleep late.
If you really wanna lose some pounds, keep your routine and diet constant. Don't be lazy and fulfill your goals.
Yeah OK, I read your other question and decided to answer here mainly because there are fewer answers here. And I also want to start off by saying that (contrary to what the answerer above said) fat does not turn into muscle. Fat is used up as energy.
OK, now to the issue at hand.
I really feel for you. And for the tons of other people who are being misled. And I'm frustrated seeing so many of the same kind of questions.
Basically we are being told: eat less, exercise more. As you and others have found out, it does not always work. What happens is that your body re-adjusts its metabolic rate to match the reduced food intake AND increased activity (exercise) until it just can't take the lack of food anymore and cries out for food and the whole cycle repeats itself.
The key to reducing the fat is to understand that different people have different types of bodies. It's all in the genetics. We all process food differently. We all respond to exercise differently. We store fat in different places, grow diferent muscles at different rates, and use fat from different places.
Some of us have flabby backs, while others put on the fat in their chests. Commonly the fat goes to the waist and abdominal region, and for women, the hips and upper thighs also.
Some men get thick legs easily, while others' arms just swell up and others just can't get their arms to thicken.
And of course we know there are those "lucky ones" we love to hate who have fantastic bodies without effort and who eat anything they want.
Some of us do well with a vegetarian diet. Some of us have to have meat. Some of us do best on mixed meat and vegie diet. Some of us can take dairy products, while others just have problems with it (and I'm not just talking lactose intolerant). Some people even put on weight (and fat) on a vegie diet but lose weight when they start eating meat!
Some people do well working out with weights. Whereas some do best with walking, or swimming. Not all people can benefit from running, and some reap the most benefits from yoga or pilates.
Some people are especially susceptible to emotional changes and they just need to have emotional issues dealt with before they can achieve their normal weight.
Everyone is different because of genetic differences (which also determine emotional make-up). Happily enough there are a few books and guides available.
I am not giving the links here so as to avoid being accused of spam. Go to my profile and e-mail me to get the other links. But I'm including the link for the emotional aspect because that one is free of charge.
One thing that will help you lose weight: diet pills. I was one of those who did not believe in them until I tried it. And I tried a few. The best product I found on the market is made with pure hoodia and it works great! You can go to
http://www.think-fit and order you free trial, also you only pay 5.49$ shipping and handling. Good luck!
